Richard Bush

Chairman and Founder, Identity Engines

A start-up veteran, Dick has over 30 years of experience in high-tech engineering, sales, and marketing. As founding CEO of Identity Engines, Dick raised two rounds of venture capital and led the company until assuming the Chairman’s role in May of 2006. Most recently, Dick was founder of Caw Networks which was acquired in 2002 by Spirent Communications, the market leader in network test and measurement. Prior to Caw, Dick was a founder and VP of Marketing at Auspex Systems, and VP of Marketing and Sales at Bridge Communications.

Pete Selda

CEO, Identity Engines

A proven growth-stage CEO with extensive experience in the security industry, Pete Selda was most recently president and CEO of WholeSecurity Inc., a provider of behavior-based security and anti-phishing technology. At WholeSecurity, he built the executive team, secured more than $20 million in venture funding and led the company from incubator pre-product stage through the company’s acquisition by Symantec Corporation in October 2005. Prior to WholeSecurity, Pete was president and CEO of Internet Dynamics, an Internet security company focused on enterprise-class security solutions. During his tenure at Internet Dynamics, Pete was responsible for managing corporate growth and direction, and ultimately oversaw the company’s successful acquisition by RedCreek Communications, Inc.

Prior to Internet Dynamics, Pete spent sixteen years at Tandem Computers where he held a variety of positions, including sales and sales management, and served as the president of MPACT EDI Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Tandem. He also served as VP of Tandem’s clustering software technology OEM business and as Tandem’s investor relations executive and financial community spokesperson. Pete began his business career in sales and marketing with Control Data Corporation. He holds a BBA from Dowling College in Oakdale, NY.

Larry Orr

General Partner, Trinity Ventures

Larry has been with Trinity Ventures since 1989. Previously, he worked for 5 years at Hewlett-Packard where he held a range of marketing and management positions within the Information Network Group. Earlier in his career, Larry worked with New York investment firm Niederhoffer, Cross and Zeckhauser on mergers and acquisitions, and with Bain & Company, a leading management consulting firm.

Larry holds a AB degree in Mathematics from Harvard University and a MBA degree from Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Carl Showalter

General Partner, Lightspeed Ventures

Carl was Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at Juniper Networks, where he led global marketing and product management. Prior to Juniper, Carl served as Vice President of Dial and Broadband Services for UUNET, and held various management positions at ANS, an AOL company, where he led the Global provisioning of the ANS IP modem build-out for AOL. Carl began his career at Bellcore, focusing on network security and packetized data services.

Carl holds a BS degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia and an MS degree in Engineering-Economic Systems from Stanford University.

Doug Tsui

Managing Director, Horizon Ventures

Doug is a networking industry veteran with over 15 years of marketing and business development experience. Investment experience includes data networking, multimedia, and Internet Infrastructure areas.

Doug’s served as VP of Marketing for Precept Software, a network video software company which was acquired by Cisco Systems in 1998. He was also VP of marketing and business development for First Virtual Communications. Prior to FVC, Doug was a senior executive at Cisco Systems and held marketing and technical management positions at 3Com/Bridge Communications and Hewlett-Packard. Doug holds a B.S.E.E. degree from the University of California, Berkeley and a MBA degree from Santa Clara University.
